Definitely yes, some people don't believe in anything but themselves, usually they feel an emptiness in their lives.

I suppose some people can and do exist without faith but personally I would find that ONLY existing. Whether or not you believe in God, Jesus, Budda, Mohammed etc. Most people are naturally drawn to something or someone to fill that need for faith. I am a Christian and find faith to be a cornerstone in my life. Although I live with faith second by second because I have built my life around it I find in times of great distress - whatever the cause may be - I turn to my faith even more for comfort and the knowledge that God will be there for me and help me. Not only does that see me through bad times but to date God has never let me down. That is my faith - others may find that faith in a family member, a friend, a respected person - and of course - what I feel is most important (other than MY faith in God) and I rely an this as well - is faith in one's self. If we cannot find that faith we become frightened, reclusive and paranoid. I think the lack of faith in self and someone else is one big cause of the beginning, the nurturing and the living in and with hate. I guess at that point the person begins to have faith in hate. That is a horrible and sad existence. Well - I could certainly go on and on concerning this subject but this is not a forum to preach and this answer is not an effort to convert anyone to Christianity. It is just my answer.

Define 'faith'. Clearly people are capable of living without religious faith. It is doubtful people can live without faith as in mere trust.

If you mean religious faith, it is just an emotion. In some ways it is a rather immature emotion. Some people need it, but people who are well integrated and well-rounded and well educated do not.

I have faith in myself.

I have proven to be a survivor and the only person I can really count on.

I don't know. I don't have faith in any religion or spirituality. I do have faith that tomorrow will come. Does that count?

Depends on what "something" you mean. If you mean "something" the same as "Creator" then yes that is possible I am living proof. If you mean "something" as in "anything" then i dont know but i do know it would be a pretty lonely existence.
