No nothing can stop it and besides the heat removed from your air conditioned space via the evaporator taken away thru the A/C plumbing to the condensor (outside) where it is forced into the atmosphere usually a fan blowing over fine fins. You would effectivly be doing nothing.
Not a mean ECO wacko just hate to see you waste all that when you could be living in comfort in a cool house.

The amount of fuel consumption you're talking about to produce any significant benefits is staggering to the point that the one remaining fuel of sufficient supply left, coal, would be counterproductive due to its production of harmful gas emissions and ouldn't make a fraction of a degree's diff erence. it takes energy to produce energy and in the present case, it wouldn't work. Even if all the world's energy were put to this use, that very expenditure of energy would more than negate any benefits. I hate to say it, but in all reality, the die is cast. China, India, the US and the world's livestock (methane emissions), will not effect the changes to save our atmosphere so future generations will have to live with the errors of the 20th century. Its sad, but realistically all that will be done will simply put off the ruining of mankind's greatest gift -- a nice place to live.

Sure. And then we can all, at once, start running real fast in the same direction, and make the earth spin faster! And then we'll all start hopping up and down at the same time and make the earth shake!!! Sounds good to me.

And if I close my eyes YOU cant SEE ME!!!

(No really, if we ALL turn them OFF and leave them off. We probably could do some good!)
PS I look just like my avatar,BTW!!!

LOL.

Air Conditioners just transfer heat from one place to another so all they'd end up doing is warming the planet (unless you could send the heat off into space or something) while also using electricity which is mostly generated by fossil fuels.

Your NOT funny.

Why do people make jokes on the Environmental section of Y!A if you don't agree with us then leave us alone!!!

To answer your question leaving air conditioners on full blast would cause more electricity needed to run the air conditioner. So more pollution would be come and it would speed up Global Warming.

Don't even think about it!!!
Do you want to start attracting polar bears or something?
Jeeez!

Of course if you like polar bears
with some fava beans, and a nice Chianti...
then bon apetit.

P.m.S. ~ We have to start taking this
Global warming crap seriously
cause it's the real deal!

If you don't believe it, just watch the
inconvenient truth.

Someone Asked the same question about fridges and I didn't know if they were joking or just didn't use thier brain. But then if you think it's funny then you're not using your brain either.

Either way, come back when you've found your brain.

Your question reminds me of a GIANT statue of Jesus near my house when I was a kid. It was attached to a cathedral, and there was a vent type fan behind his head ( or was it a halo??)

I used to think that statue fanned the whole world.

But to answer your question, .No
