We had a budgie years ago & he never wanted to get in his cage at night. We had to take his "baby" which was a little plastic penguin & shake it & call out to him that we had his baby. When he flew to us, we put the baby in the cage & he would follow. How dumb is that, LOL!

Because she doesn't want to go in the cage, and she's trying to communicate with you (in case you might be persuaded to see it her way).

She wants to be with you, I think. Have you put your finger up to her stomach and had her step up on your finger? If not try it. My tiels put their heads down and want me to scratch thier heads. Try that.
