If you tell them that you disagree with them, they think you hate them. I often think that I am hated but not because people dont agree with me but because some people say bad things to me or ignore me. However, some people on this section want us always to agree with them and tell them that they are always right.. I dont like to lie..
Even when you try to explain to them why you disagree with them, they don't want to listen to you..

I hope the person whom I mean for this sees my question and understands my message.. I don't have anything against you and I would love to continue having peaceful dialogue with you. I am sorry for using the word close minded but I couln't find a better English work. My English vocabulary are limited.
Peace

Thank you Tabatha,
Now I can go sleep with my mind comfortable. I didn't really want thins misunderstanding to occur but.. I will always respect you and as you said we may disagree but we can still talk with each other and we can be friends too. Even siblings at the same house disgree and sometimes fight and hurt each others.
Yeah I agree with you, most people who use the Israel section are polite but the minority make me really angry and I don't want to name them now.

What I meant by you don't want to listen to me is that you didn't want to listen to why I disagree with you but I guess this is over now.

As I said above, I didn't mean a negative thing by the word close minded, I just didn't know what other more polite word to use, I am sorry.

Peace

Tabatha:
I am just curious lol, what does the x after shalom mean. Does it have any meaning in Judaism?

Tabatha again,
Thank you and Laila Tov to you. I actually know it. Do you know the song Laila Laila? It is a Hebrew song and you can find it here:

I'm guessing this message was for me? So firstly, thank you.

1) I am not closed-minded.

2)I don't think, I never did think, that you hated me, just because we disagreed on a previous post.

3)I don't care if you never agree with me Mimi, I respect your opinions!
My point was simply: there was too much criticism of me when all I did was answer a question from another person, by posting historical facts.

4)And why do you say that I 'didn't want to listen to you'?
I read all your edits. I answered all of them! Just because I don't agree with you, so what?!

My Muslim friend - we are a Jew and a Muslim, we're going to argue BUT at least we ARE STILL TALKING.

That's the important thing, yes?!

I know you said that you worried the information I posted would lead to people in this forum saying horrible things. But honestly, with the exception of one or two people, everyone in the Israel forum is very fair, polite and kind.

And there are people saying horrible things in ALL the forums! I've seen some really awful anti Jewish remarks in some of the other Travel pages!

So yes, let's of course continue our peaceful dialogue - even if occasionally we have a bit of an argument! Sometimes you won't like my posts. Sometimes, I won't like yours.

I guess that's free speech!!!

Shalom

Lila tov = good night, in Hebrew (phoenetically, I can't write Hebrew, alas!)

aw,people! when they're new, they're so excited and think of lots of expectations and some would want to run the show, or just "troll along".Criticize your english grammar but never bothered to correct. There is a quote by Clauzwitz in The art of war that whenever one criticize an action but don't recommend a better alternative is better to be silent or his ignorance will show.

Everyone is entitledd to his or her opiniion and some are more close minded than others. A lot of it is how you are raised. It doesnt mean they hate you, just that they disagree with you.

I don't think you should worry about it. Just be confident in yourself. Some people are just like that.

And remember the Bible, Matthew 5:44 "I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those cursing you, do good to those hating you, and pray for those accusing you falsely..."

Peace and love.

Do you really want to stay around people who make you feel hated?

You are as entitled to your opinion as they are to theirs. I am sure you can find more open-minded people on this site if you stop wasting time on the people who have to always have it their way.

this is the ideal behavior of a typical jew, not need to be surprised, if you disagree with a jew, u automatically become an anti semite regardless of u having the truth and logic, or not

OK, let's face it: probably because people in general are close-minded. It starts with public schools, the Media and all the other Liberals.
