And don't just say "both." Which of the two is your primary focus?

Neither!
Just the "Wisdom" to differentiate between the two!

Humph.
You're nosy arn't ya?

How'd you like to have your chioces divided and told one is above another? I do not hold one above another, two sides to the same equation, one needed to have the other impossible to have one and not the other as well.

Christians believe that by being "christian" ( i.e. behaving and working towards a certain natural attitude that is obtainable, since a mortal man has done and achieved this state of being it is meant to be something to strive for continually.) you become enlightened as you do as christ asks of you, hence being "saved" from hell or having "salvation" you have the first step in obtaining enlightenment. Dead sea scrolls and many sufi's writings referance both as being a single portion of a widening sense of humanity or consicence, hence one does not over ride the other. Salvation is no garuntee of permenance once obtained in our mortal state, only proof is after death. Enlightenment is said to happen over lifetimes, so again after death, physically occurring. As for people chooseing one over another the age old fued of east vs. west in new sheeps clothing. Naughty questioner, The force of the almighty asks us to unite, not divide.

I'm an atheist and consider salvation spiritual folly of the highest order. Enlightenment, however, remains a worthy goal.

My spiritual goal is salvation. This is because the Lord let his only son's blood be shed so that we could live a sin free life. In return it is our duty to help the FATHER,SON,and HOLY SPIRIT in salvaging the good of the human creation that is left. I believe that this is my higher powers main course of action against devil and so shall it be mine.
