Dress up instant mashed potatoes instantly by adding a spoonful of mayonnaise. It removes a lot of the graininess and makes them smoother and creamier. I also love to add a bit of ranch dressing to mine, or even better, ranch dressing powder. A little salt, a little pepper, and voila! Delicious every time.

i have personally made and enjoyed all these ideas (family as well)
sour cream mashed:
heat butter and fresh crushed garlic in pot, simmer to blend flavours
boil potatoes in skin (halved)
discard garlic chunks
mash potatoes with the skins, add garlic butter and a generous large amout of sour cream, then whip- awsome
from 30 min. meals
whip potatoes, add mushrooms, onions, gr. peppers, cheez whiz. put in oven dish, grated cheese ontop. bake for a while...30 min. or so
mash potatoes with package on onion soup mix...maybe not the whole pack...do to taste for the amount of taters you making
mash or whip with salt and pepper, garlic powder ( not salt...if u use garlic salt maybe dont add salt) blend in some bacon bits
or /or and bake in oven with can of corn
ok i havent tried this one
mash and add 1/2 can mushroom or celery creamed soup from the can and bake 1/2 hour or so (instead of scalloped potatoes....i use both for flavoring of that...i may try that with mashed now) just a thought...because they go good with potatoes

I peel, cube and boil the potatoes for 15 to 20 minutes. I drain the water then I put margarine (not butter) in the potatoes. I probably use a half stick or a couple of spoons of margarine. I use a little milk then add sour cream and cream cheese. I blend it all together. Very good!

Can and would are 2 particularly some issues. understand that 30 years in the past, toddler formula grew to become into fairly lots in basic terms cows milk with some sugar and perchance some egg yolk. It grew to become into fairly detrimental, so toddlers _had_ to initiate ingesting solids at in basic terms a month or 2 previous so as that they'd have of project of having maximum of their nutrients met. meaning that one month olds have been getting rice cereal shoved in, mashed potatoes, ingesting sips of orange juice, and fairly lots something that would desire to be squished and smooshed sufficient that it would desire to be spooned previous their tongue-thrust reflexes. those toddlers who have been ingesting detrimental living house-made formula _needed_ those early solids. of course your son is diverse and is getting all of his nutrients from his milk feeds. He _can_ have a flavor of mashed potatoes, and, incredibly, the full one million/4 of a teaspoon that he would take in incredibly isn't that substantial of a deal in the long-term, notably considering the fact that he's been having formula. the subjects would be notably minimum, notably considering the fact that one or 2 bites isn't the comparable as being fed solids two times an afternoon on a daily basis. commencing solids as a ordinary component and offering a pair of licks of something particularly bland on a definite trip are not the comparable. it incredibly is, of direction, your selection and this is totally high-quality so you might adhere on your weapons, however this is okay if it happens.

When boiling the cubed and peeled potatoes in salted water, I add one or two brussels sprouts to them. Then when everything is boiled soft, I mix it with an electric hand mixer, with a bit of milk, sour cream, a pinch of flour, and a dash of pepper.
