Drugs are very powerful chemicals and do damage to a person is much less than a year's time. The longer they use them, the more it affects them; however; there are many things that can change a person's mentality and personality. Work stress, family life, depression, all types of situations can turn a person from being very polite and well mannered to paranoid secretive and violent. Make sure that the person you are referring to is using drugs before throwing out an accusation like that. Sit down and talk with them to find out what is different now than it was then. You don't want an accusation like that getting around friends and family without an substance to it because it can cause alot of problems for that person.

Depends on what kinda drugs he is on, weed wont do any of that to you, now you get into the harder stuff yes I have had family and friends turn complete 180s while they were on drugs but that is no excuse to treat people like that, all you can do at that point is just help them when you can and talk to them when they can keep themselves under control, and generally when they are taking drugs there is a reason whether they are having a tough time handling something or there personal and family life is going down the drain

Yea it works both ways ( Men & Women ) Obviously everyone knows drugs are not good for your health or your body.
Maybe its more to him than just drugs though.? does he have a girlfriend/wife? if so he could be depressed and holding back some feelings maybe he thinks she is cheating on him or something he resorts to drugs to calm down but after the "HIGH" wears off he then gets real ill and frustrated with things easier.

It sounds like the drugs are the cause and even if he gets off of them it may be years before he gets his life back together. If you are considering any kind of relationship with this guy, don't until he is off drugs and clean for at least a year and even then very cautiously!!
