Hmm...Difficult. But not really your problem.
That is unless of course you still have feelings for him. Or he has feelings for you?
My first advice would be to steer well clear. But life (and people) aren't always that simple...
Why did he choose you to share this bombshell with?

If he is an ex who is now a friend then tell him he must be honest about his feelings - to himself and his fiancee, or people will get more hurt than they need to be. If he sees no future with her then he must tell her sooner rather than later.

If he's an ex who you still have feelings for or he has feelings for you then be very careful . He's your ex for a reason - one of you, if not both, wanted out of the relationship. Its my opinion that it is best to leave exes in the past and move on.
If you however feel that you both still want to be together then he must deal with his current situation and end it as sensitively as possible before the two of you can pick up again. It would be too unfair and complicated for you to get together unless you are both single.

sounds like perhaps he wants you back but don't go for that. Any guy who asks a girl to marry him without loving her will not love the next girl he has a relationship with either and he didn't love you or he wouldn't have asked her to marry him. Just be glad that it is not you that he asked to marry in order to tell another girl that he is not in love with you.

That would be strickly between he and his fiancee....don't put yourself in the middle, if you still care for him and want him back...wait until he becomes available again.
