Nurses must have a BSN( 4 year degree) before being accepted for a Commissioning. You will be given additional military specific training, as well as training specific to your duties as a military Nurse.

BTW: Marines have no nurses, they use Navy Medical personnel.

If you join the army i believe you go through the basics (i know ROTC girls go through normal Army training) They offer to pay loans for your education ,if your still in college ROTC is a way to go. I believe they also pay for continuing education, which is a plus if you want to specialize in something. Navy and Airforce Nurses are nurses with the knowledge of military etiquette. You start off as a 2nd Lt for the Army and Airforce; and an Ensign for the Navy (their all O1 officer). You get better housing then enlisted better pay then enlisted and I believe that as a Nurse your normally head of certain floors, something that you would not do in the civilian world for a while. Plus you get to be part of the worlds best military :)

I saw a Semper Fi so i would assume you might want to go navy to work with Marines ^o^

If you're going to be an RN (with a bachelor's) when you finish school, you can possibly be a commissioned officer. You need to speak to an officer recruiter, as they are different from the normal enlisted recruiters. If you will not have a bachelor's degree, good luck on getting a medical job in the enlisted military. Be careful as some recruiters can be deceiving--especially about jobs. My husband is an AF recruiter, but he only recruits enlisted personnel. I would go with AF all the way if you're interested in the military...and I'm not just saying that b/c he's in the AF. We were undecided before he enlisted, and I feel that he made the best decision by far. Good luck.
