I can't remember the types of questions interviewers ask. Any ideas on how to prepare? What to say, or, what not to say? Job field is Budgeting.

They are always gonna ask you these questions, well, most of the time:
Tell me about yourself. What are your goals in the company? What do you see yourself doing in 5, 10 years? Why should we hire you? What's your availability? What are your qualifications? What are your strengths, weaknesses? Tell me what you most liked/disliked about your last job? Why are you unemployed now/looking for a job now? How can you contribute to the company? What's your biggest accomplishment?

Make sure to have some of these things answered in your mind before you go. Dress professionally and arrive on time. Don't say "um" a lot. Ask plenty of questions you have (shows you're really interested). Never put down your old job. Be energetic, polite, enthusiastic. Get relaxed and think confident.

Good luck!

They ask more ethics questions now. I was asked if I would change payroll records before or after the customer asked to audit them if we put more hours on the bill than we worked.
Also if I would lie on a excise tax return. I argued that it was wrong to over bill a customer and that I would write whatever they wanted on a return if I didn't have to sign it. I did say I would refuse to sign a wrong tax return because of being a CPA it would ruin my career. Lots of ethics questions and some sexual harassment questions like if a coworker asked me out how I would handle it. I said I would say no thank you the first time, so they asked about the second time. I told them I would tell the person that I had already said no and meant no and not to ask again. Companies are much more careful not to be sued if you get harassed but I am in my 50s so old enough to fight my own battles.

You won't get the same questions you got in the 80's. now they ask behavioral type questions like tell me what you would do if... or tell me of a time when ......... Your best bet is to get a couple interview books from the bookstore.
