Class I is a specific relationship of your 1st molars where the mesial buccal cusp is aligned with the central buccal grove the lower molar. Class II means the cusp is anterior to the groove and Class III has the cusp posterior to the groove.

Technical, but more accurate.

Class 1 is an ideal or normal bite. This means your teeth are biting or touching correctly. Usually braces are prescribe to help bring a bite to Class 1 (don't want to get too technical about where each tooth should meet) Other common bite classes are
Class 2 an overbite and Class 3 an underbite.
Bottomline you probably do not have to wear braces for along time if you are close to a class 1 bite=)

Class 1 is the bite of the front teeth is normal but,
the teeth may appear crooked or possibly have gaps.
Class 2 is the upper front teeth protrude away from the bottom teeth also known as buck teeth and an overbite.

It's just how badly your teeth are. Like for instance, they say "class II overbite" is a different type of overbite than like, "class III" or something. I'm not exactly sure, but it's something along those lines.

Try Google.
