I still have a piece of pencil lead in my leg from school and I am ok. Someone jabbed me and it broke off and I could never get it out

No, because there is no lead in pencils, mechanical or otherwise. What is referred to as "pencil lead" is in fact graphite, which is just carbon. I have had a piece of "pencil lead" in my hand for over 20 years without any problems.
