About a month ago i was on the bus walking up to the front because my stop was coming when all the sudden (while i was in the middel of the isle) the bus driver slammed on the brakes and i flew into a set. and when i did i fell head first and bent my neck and i hit my tumby on the seat wall thing. and ever sinces then i have had pains. and i want to know what i should do about the bus driver. i am in a lot of pain. and i just have to know does he have the right to do that?
when i walked up there i was doing what i was told. on the first day he said that the last people on the bus have to move up to the front to get off. and no one was in front of us or anything.

You weren't hanging on? There are rails and seat backs and all kinds of things to hang on to while walking on the bus. I learned when I was a little kid to hang on just in case the driver has to hit the brakes or swerve for a car, pedestrian, dog, pot-hole, anything. Unless you can prove the driver deliberately set you up to get hurt, which is highly unlikely, you have no cause of action against him. If you have a medical expense you can submit it to the transit company insurance.

I see that all the time. People don't hold on on the bus, walking on stairs, riding escalators, but it prevents a lot of falls of the type you experienced.

u posted this once before. i done told u once, now i'm telling u again. its ur fault u got hurt. the driver is responsible for the bus, and if he has to slam on the brakes to keep from squishing a car or something else thats in the path of the bus, and ur out of ur seat to begin with, it aint his fault u got hurt. passengers are required to stay in their seats until the bus is stopped.....seems to me that u think this doesnt apply to u.
