No. That's what Christians do, not atheists.

I wouldn't be alone, becuase I have other friends and family for comforting. I would never feel a drawing to god, I couldn't imagine doing so. Never felt that way, even when I was a child being made to believe catholicism in the school system. Anyone could feel emptiness for a crisis in their life, it all depends on how they handle it.
I wonder, for those who are religious, lose a child or their partner, then turn their back on god asking why he let it happen?

When I have a crisis in my life, I deal with it.
When I lose a job, I put my energies into finding a new job.
When I lose a loved one, I mourn and grieve, and remember the good times we have had together, and how that loved one would want me to continue on.
When I face something that challenges me, I face it with courage. I do not feel drawn to any gods. I have plenty of comfort and closeness provided by my friends and family.
I do not cry out to gods, for I never feel empty. I am sorry that at times, you do. Perhaps you will find other ways to fill your emptiness by forging relationships with real people? It may help you deal with your issues of confidence and times of weakness.

No, I do not. I might ask a person to help me. Nobody in the world is completely cut off from other human beings.
The reason believers might turn to God is because they have pre-concieved ideas about the subject - namely that he is watching them and looking out for them. An atheist who turned towards God would hardly be an atheist.

I've lost jobs, I've lost my entire immediate family, and my hope is challenged every day. I get through it by relying on my life experience, my past training as a psychiatric nurse, and my own wits. I never feel "drawn to [god]," because there are no gods. I don't need imaginary spirits, I just pull the buckle a little tighter and get on with it. Try it some time.

I'm never alone. There is always me and my family and friends. You believe we are created this way. I do not. Of course there is an emptiness when loved ones are gone. Because they are gone! Death is just a part of life. You hold on to your memories.

No. I just tell myself "this is the life I have chosen for myself," and I soldier on. If the crisis persists then I begin to consider making changes in my life. I know god is imaginary and though it may be comforting for some to make believe in times of trouble, I resist the temptation to indulge in delusional thinking.

Not really, and please look up the definition of atheist next time you ask. also this seems to be a copy of a previous question which is possibly still on the 1st board about 5 min ago or so.

No god has ever given me answers for anything. I cling to family and friends when I need a hug. A physical hug is much better then an imaginary one.

No... I don't feel my heart "drawn" to God. I of course go through "wishful thinking" but I'm always aware of what it is and that nothing exists to "make it come true".
We aren't created that way, we're indoctrinated that way, to want a big supernatural hero to protect us, keep us safe. And yes, even when we don't have faith hammered into our heads since birth, sometimes wishful thinking runs rampant and we long for an externalized all-purpose "bandaid".
But GOD - DOES - NOT - EXIST.

As you grow up, you'll find the ones who actually give you comfort and a shoulder to cry upon during a crisis are other humans.
