C. So far it has worked quite well.

A and B are both utterly irrational.

Why in the heck would we call on the names of Scientists? That is ludicrous as the two you mentioned are dead. How could they be any help? Personally i try to get through things on my own. If it is something i cannot handle alone i seek help from Family and Friends. Why? Well because for Years i did call on the name of God, with complete belief in him and i still got no answer. I would look to find ways that maybe my Prayers had been answered so that i could believe it was working. It never did. If you rely on an imaginary Being for help you are in more trouble than you would be if you just dealt with reality.

C)Soley depend on my own strength and efforts to get myself out of the bind.

And the percentage of time that I get myself out of the bind VS. the percentage of time that calling on god gets me out of the bind is the same, thus proving that calling on god really does nothing to help.

None of the above. Well, I do depend on my own strength, but not solely. I rely on family and friends and sage advice.

Why? Because God isn't real, Darwin is dead (and not a reliable wellspring of relationship wisdom), and my sisters, my mother, my lifelong friends, even my coworkers, they have constructive and comforting things to tell me.

Just ask my family and friends right now. They've been helping me immensely. No need to "call on" something nonexistent or rotting.

D. I depend both on my own strength and the strength of my loved ones to help me through difficult times.

Whether your an Athiest, Agnostic, Catholic or methodist, I still believe that there is a higher power out there, who else could hace created the planets and the universe?
Anyways, I am Catholic, and I don't believe my God to be very discrininatory, but very forgiving and welcoming. Try talking to him, whether you believe in him or not, you just may get the answers for which you are seeking.

Do you not know the definition of Atheism, dude? Otherwise you wouldn't ask "A".

If I am in dire need of help, I will contact a trusted friend. It's rare for me to ask for help since I am a stubborn individual, so my friends will know it is serious. Otherwise, I depend on myself. It's worked in the past and still does. Why break it?

My best friend used to be A now is C. My soulmate was a soldier and he said when guys lay dying they called for God or their mother....I myself do not know where I stand, in really bad times I have begged for help and the silence was deafening now I just mainly cry alone then get over it. If there is a heavenly father then he keeps strangely silent......

I generally ask my friends for advice and assistance. It works.

By the way, there's an elegant feature on this board that allows you to check your spelliing. Give it a try with words like "soley" and "Einstien."

You'll look smarter.

C, it's called taking responsibility for your own life. Instead of trying to receive help from an invisible father figure in the sky.
