if a tree falls in the jungle and no ones there dose it make a noise?

I propose an experiment. We will need to set tape recorders in various jungles and try to catch the sound of a tree falling. This may be a long term experiment because we will have to wait to get lucky and have a tree fall for us. We won't be able to predict when this will happen.

We will also have to keep intensive survey records of the tree's around or recorder's to know which ones were standing and which ones were already down when we first arrived there. We may need to apply for some sort of research grant.

if a tree falls when your near it does it make a sound? yes it does. so I would think that the tree would still make a sound even if no one was there to hear it.
