He has never been my favorite driver, but I felt really glad for him today!
This is the first good thing to happen to him and his team this year!
It just proves sometimes good things do happen!!!

This is great.Mikey likes Talladega and looks like Talladega liked him.
But this screwball top 35 screwed some good teams from the race.
But congrats Mikey.

Nice to see him get a pole...But the go or go homers were all in qualifying set up the others were in race set up, thats why alot of the top drivers are towards the back, its a impound race so you can't touch the cars...it will be real interesting to see how this all plays out tomorrow....Glad to see Villenueve qualify good as well, and I'm not a toyota fan by no means, but I was happy for Mikey and Jacques...

The go or go home guys were all running qualifying setups. The top 35 were focused with their racing setups for Sunday, hence why those guys were up front and all the power houses were running 25th down.

So as much as much as it seems like a big step for MWR for winning the pole, it really wasn't in that respect. Although he'd probably would have still ended up with a top 15 qualifying qualiying spot, on account Mikey is good at RP tracks.

Talladega is an impound race so the top 35 in owner points were quallifing with race set up Mikey was a go or go home driver so they set the car up accordingly and Waltrip has been strong on restrictor plate races.

Get real, JH!
This field was inverted so NASCAR could cough up a little something for Toyota. Follow the paper trail. Money talks with the France family.
Five Toyotas in the top six.
John Andretti even qualified.
The first five laps will be horrendous.

As a Toyota fan and a guy who likes Mike o.k., I loved it!! I don't think all of this will hold up long, but I think it bodes well for BLaney and Vickers, who have run well in stretches this year.

I thought it was great. Nice effort on the part of his entire stable of cars. Toyota certainly was a bright light today!

He'll crash. He's a terrible driver. the only reason he has 2 wins now is # Dale Earnhardt blocked for him (which cost him his life). and the 2nd race was rained out. He sucks.
