If i maneged to capture a fart in a container and stored it would it eventurly stop smelling

Yes! the half life of a fart is about 35 seconds, so in about 35 minutes the smell should faid.
You should try it.

I think the container would explode. Better thing to do would be this: "Capture" the fart in a plastic bag. Then take the bag to an unsuspecting friend and "poof" it in his face. ha ha ha

My brother did this to my mom and it was hilarious.

I'm not sure, but when you try it, be sure to stick your head in the jar as well, put the cover on real tight and maybe add some carbon monoxide too.

thts sick!!! and TOTALY discusting!!! doubt tht is even possible...it wouldn't stop smelling anyways.... and if u opened the jar it would probably smell worse cause usausly after u gas.. it goes away and "mixes" w/the air.. but in a jar.. it couldnt do tht....

lol i dont no...but there mite not b able 2 cos there is no more air for it to escape into. like maybe if u fart in a spaceman suit u mite die :S lol it mite evaporate some how...but i duno :)

probably because little molecules of air would keep escaping...but you'd have to leave it a long time.
