It means Congress shall make no law regarding freedom of speech, freedom of the press or establish any state religion nor in terfere with my practice of my religion.
Glad to see you found the First amendment through the wikipedia site. Since I spent 25 years in faithful adherence to an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic I happened upon the document the old fashioned way: I read it!

Everything, without it you do not have freedom at all. It means life or death. Give me liberty of give me death.
All there is for evil to flourish is for good men to say or do nothing. Now in America you have to get a permit to for free speech areas. You now have to be removed from an event say the GOP national convention if you have a t shirt on that doesnt support the agenda. Now in America you can be beat and tasered for asking a question to a political figure in an open public forum. If there was ever a time in American history that we need to stand up in masses and protest with dissent a government putting its people on lockdown its now.
Time is short and if the media and the CFR and bilderberg group have their way with the billions they are ready to spend to ensure that clinton gets in office and succeed we are indeed at the last throws of a fresh new country going bad to fascism and a police state.
