well, im no doctor, and dont know the scientific way of saying these things. But when your body gets a flu or a cold, it becomes stressed. In your neck there are these muscles that buldge out and feel like bumps. Whenever i get ill, these muscles always come out and start putting pain into my neck and arms. From what i am reading, your symptoms seem to be the same as mind, The best thing i found out to do is put a heat pad, or to massage the bumps or if you dont have bumps, the area. I hope this helps. If not sorry :).

Have that happen occasionally .Only two things help , time , & /or the right sudden jolt, such as hitting a pothole , or slipping , turning an ankle , and other freak occurences such as that . If it persists for more than 3-4 days, or reoccurs frequently , get help . Might be a problem , or maybe you're just older than you used to be ;D .In my case, I had an injury from playing football. It might have happened anyway , but the injury hasn't helped . You ever have any back, neck, or head injuries ?

There is the small intestines meridian that runs from the nose down the side of the neck then zigzags on the back side of the shoulder then runs down the arm....yes a cold could have caused this. Turn you system into a alkaline environment with fruits and vegetables or try a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar....the cold bug can not live if the body is cool....it needs warming foods like sugars, oils, meats, etc. Try the apple cider vinegar! You can take more if your stomach will allow.....feel better soon!

when you have a cold, alot of times your tendons can become, infected as they said when i got tendonitis or however u spell that, I actually could not move my neck from side to side without getting a sharp muscle pullling pain, i went to the dr. and he said i had tendonitus?, my tendons that held my ribcage up were infected and it had spread from there to my neck, (it can start in your neck aas well), i couldnt mvoe my arms for nothing, it hurt everytime i lifted my wrist, and he said it was all because i had a simple cold. im not sure exactly how to explain it but somehow the virus is able and sometimes will infect your tendons, like i said not sure how. it just is able to ^^

You just turned your head the wrong way. You'll be fine. People get kinks in their necks all the time. Soak it in a hot tub and take some ibuprofin - or get some myoflex and massage it into your neck.

Of course - to truly analyze what happened to your neck, I would have to join you in the shower and have you demonstrate exactly how it happened.

Go to the nearest chiropractor IMMEDIATELY. They'll probably be able to re-adjust your neck properly. The cold most likely has nothing to do with your neck, but tell them just incase.

It's is just your muscles cramping on you. It could just be from your cold or it could be from dehydration. So my advice is just to stay in bed once in a while try and stretch it out and drink lots of water.

Maybe get a pack of ice to put on it and just rest for a day.

It sounds like you just strained your neck. It will clear up on it's on..don't worry about it.
