Maybe oregon Flower or some of the others are aound today. I just want to know if you're tuning in to see what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is really all about. If not, then why not give it a shot? It won't hurt. I promise. You might even learn something.

LOL yeah. Oregon Flower, Dances with Poultry (aka MrPeepers), Cheese and Rice and Al-Shaitan are all together watching it (and secretly enjoying it). ^_^

Well, I'm not a Mormon hater, cause I am LDS and I LOVE the church, but I bet some of those people who are Mormon haters would actually get something out of Conference if they listened to it.

It's not all about religion anyways. A lot of those people were directing their talks to those who aren't LDS as well as members. It's about being humane people and doing service and good to everyone whether they are European, Asian, African, North American, South American, Australian, Rich, Poor, Good, Bad, Haters, or Lovers, Lazy or Hard Working. What an amazing conference this year! It was sooooo good.

Haters out there, especially ones who believe we aren't Christian, should listen to Elder Holland's talk. It was absolutely AMAZING! I'll tell you what, I usually don't get emotional over this kind of stuff, but today the spirit has touched me so much. I've never gotten so much out of conference before, and we still have two more sesions! GO MORMONS!!! WOOO!

While I can certainly appreciate your zeal, I really don't think we have as many people that hate us for no reason, as you seem to suppose (please correct me if I'm wrong). Are there those who are misinformed about are church? Sure. There are also many who simply find religion in general to be offensive. But most, I dare say, are just apathetic to it all. In all fairness, are we willing to try to understand the non-believer's, or in this case, the"hater's" point of view? As a returned missionary, I have seen the hate and animosity you speak of first hand, but I wonder if we don't cross the line sometimes when we fail to acknowledge the non-members right to have an opinion. We, as members of the LDS faith, can often times come across extremely smug, and really add fuel to the fire of misunderstanding. I hope that we can extend the same courtesy and respect to others that we wish to receive ourselves. Thank you for your thoughtful post here and I hope people will indeed take your advice and sample the conference, to see what we are "really all about".

Simple answer: Yes, I will. Because it makes me feel good inside when I listen to the beautiful music and hear the inspired talks that are given. That may be kind of selfish, but that's me. To Pastor G. - that's a good one - "The other thing is that I was in the Navy so I usually don't attend events run by Generals. . . " Thanks for the laugh. BTW: Everyone/anyone is invited to attend and/or view the proceeding of the Conference. Note the references above and also it can be viewed at BYU.edu

Darling, not trying to be insultive or anything, but isn't the big theme today at conference to be an example. How is insulting those who insult us being an example?

Conference was great though today. What do you think? It was just amazing. I can't choose a favoritee talk. They were all just too good.

:) Have a FANTASTIC day and a lovely Conference weekend.

Raining again? The past two conferences were sunny! I am LDS and loved the second session! Elder Holland's talk! Anyone who believes we're not Christian should listen to it. It will definitely enlighten them. (Remeber, listen, don't read) Actually hearing Elder Holland makes it just soooo much better! :)

Probably the smarter ones will find some little picky things to blow way out of proportion, and the not so smart ones will parrot those things all over the internet. Sad, but highly probable. They don't WANT us to be right, they WANT us to be totally wrong. And if we aren't, they will make things up if they have to.

Ah, but the easiest way to prove something false is by doing nothing...

I have been working outside all day today. We usually don't watch the Saturday sessions anyways. I will be going to the priesthood meeting though. :)

I did hear that Eyring is the new counselor.

Why bother with the invitation when they think they know more about us then we do?

Book of Mormon in North America... Where the hell are you people getting your refrences from? It was South America, and there are big cities there. Yeesh. People.
