protestants mostly became protestants becuse their land lords were protestants or it was againest the law to be a catholic , so they became protestants to keep their homes, their heads and their jobs, pure selfish reasons, and in turn they penalised and victimised catholics

Protestants, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, and others will get into heaven if they live a good and unselfish life. I believe that Roman Catholicism is the true faith, but that doesn't mean other people with different religious beliefs are damned.

It seems that most have missed the point of your question.

The Offical word from the Catholic Church is that Protestants will go to Heaven.

It is hard to say "all Christians" because there are some. like the LDS who call themselves Christians, but follow a docterine that is radically altered from the Bible.

Even members of the Church of Rome including the Pope will only be admitted to heaven by the Grace of God. In spite of what that denomination thinks the same applies to protestants

I've got news for you: Catholics aren't necessarily saved.

The essentials for salvation start with
1 Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
2 Repentance for sin
3 Baptism for the remission of those sins
4 The gift of the Holy Ghost

Since Catholics are never baptised correctly, and their confirmation is always at the hands of one without the real authority, they cannot get beyond step 2.

Hence they are not truly saved.
Protestants are also outside the promise for similar reasons.

If someone is saved, being excommunicated doesn't change that.

The Catholic Church can show you the road to salvation, but the Catholic Church doesn't decide who is saved and cannot "un-save" you.

if you think a church can provide salvation, think again...Christ said that a man must be born again to see the kingdom of God, and that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life...now, who do i trust, some wrinkly old pope in rome, doddering around like someones' crazy grampa, or the Messiah, the Son of the living God?

I'm afraid that is false. Religious organisations do not save and neither does holy communion. It is faith in Jesus that saves.........even if you never set foot in a Church in your life you are saved by faith alone.

I think they would have a better chance out rather than in.
This is based on the christian hypothocis that heaven might exist.

you must obey all Gods laws to the letter and believe in his son as being the Savior to get into heaven- that is all! (PS God doesn't have a "religion" so why would he care more about one religion over another?)
