It's a paste/supplement that you put in their mouth for the immune system supposed to help the cats to be less sick. It's called either Virolys or Verolys?? My vet told me about this but I wanted to know if anyone has tried this??

We just use Lysine, check to see if that's listed in the ingredients. Lysine (or L-lysine as it's sometimes called) bonds with the herpes virus and doesn't let it manifest in the cat - where it would normally show up as runny eyes. It helps the immune system too, as well as the eyes and with healing.

250 mg is a cat dose. That's one pill crushed with a spoon and put on the cat's food. They can get up to 500mg a day if they've got really bad runny eyes. It usually clears things up in 3 or 5 days. We've been using it with our FIV guy for years.

I've heard of Enisyl-F. It is a supplement that can reduce symptoms. L-Lysine has been shown to suppress viral replication and inhibit cytopathogenicity.
