All Roman Catholics are Catholic, but not all Catholics are Roman Catholic.
Just as all Catholics are Christian, but not all Christians are Catholic.

Not exactly. There are at least a couple of different kinds of "Catholic." Roman Catholic is the best known here in the west. Greek Orthodox, aka Eastern Orthodox is another very large group of Catholics. Then there are a few subdivisions under that too: Latin Rite Catholics, etc.

The Roman Catholics' center is, oddly enough, in Rome. The Eastern Orthodox Catholics look to Constantinople for their see.

In general usage, "Roman Catholic" is used as a synonym for "Catholic". But actually there are several rites of the Catholic Church, and the Roman Rite, also called the Latin Rite, is just the largest rite of Catholicism. All Catholics are "Roman Catholics" in the general sense however, since they are all under the authority and pastorship of the bishop of Rome. The Orthodox Churches are not Catholic because they are not under the authority of the Pope.

I am RC,so I say that only Catholic in full communion with the Pope of Rome is really and fully Catholic.
Eastern Orthodox think that they are the real and full Catholics
Old Catholics,Anglo-Catholics("Tractarian Tractarian type of Anglicans") and Assyrian and Oriental Orthodox all insist that they are Catholic.
Some denominations other than The CatholicChurch (of the Papal Communion) have Catholic in their self-naming or titles.

Most Christians think that thir church whatever it is is part of or even the fullest expression of the Church Catholic.
Some tiny groups think that they are the only and real Catholic Church and some have their own popes("antipopes"),cardinals, etc.
Some see the Catholic Church (universal is what catholic means "according to the whole' in Greek) as the saved and redemed know only to God.

Many see the Catholic Church as being the whole fellowship of Trinitarian Believers in Christ or the Communion of Saints(living and dead)

The true catholics are the Roman Catholics. There are fakers in the protestant churches that declare to be catholic, such as the Anglican and Lutheran.

THE WORD CATHOLIC MEANS UNIVERSAL AND THE POPE WHO IS THE BISHOP OF ROME IS THE EARTHLY "HEAD' of the church. so they are one and the same.
