Some people, white, black, etc. etc. are racist because they are fearful and unhappy people. Sometimes it comes from the parents, other times it comes from particular groups, other times it comes from schools. The important thing here is YOU not be racist. Don't see color, see people. Don't judge a race as a whole. I am white, and I know no-one who is racist. I feel very sorry for such people because they are so afraid and unhappy. If you see racism it may be because you are living in a certain area, going to a school where you see it, living in a country that is more racist, as a whole, than other countries. The country I live in has very little racism. Hate does not come naturally. Could you look at a little baby and say that he was born a racist. No, racism is learned. We need more people in the world who no not hate people of another race. Will you choose to be one?

Wow! You must be some kind of genius. Only white people are racist. Everyone else is so benign and kind.
Let me enlighten you on this subject. Guess what? There are other cultures that have racist people as well. Really!! If you talk to others, listen to all the media outlets, read human history, etc. you'll actually discover this and your eyes will truly be open.
Racism is in every culture. Of course, here in America, it was, and sometimes is, more blatant. Some blacks hate whites, some whites hate blacks, some hispanics hate blacks and whites, and seems like everyone hates the Jews. Unfortunately, we have to teach are children to not practice such hate and hope that racism will fade away someday.

White people racist? No more than any others...

Gweilo or Guilao is used to address some foreigners ever since the white man first hit the shores of China.

It means "Foreign Devil." I don't know how much more racist you can get than that.

If you want something closer to home - during my stay in New York City i encountered many a professional (doctor, lawyer, engineers) who are from Africa or the Carribean but don't consider themselves nor make common cause with African-Americans. In fact, they don't really bother to associate themselves with their American cousins, bearing some of the opinions about them that you would expect out of your stereotypical WASP.

Suffice it to say - i was shocked.

And this question isn't racist... how?

Seriously, why does everyone act like the only people who can be racist are white?? I'm treated unfairly all the time b/c of my race, but nooo, it CAN'T be racism, why not? Because I'm a white female. It's bullshit.

Most of it is taught. And just to let you know, not all white people are racist, and other races can be just as guilty of being a racist.

I also know many black folks who are racist and many white people who are not.
Racism is Compound Stupidity and may have nothing to do with the color of one's skin.

I'm not. At all actually. It doesn't even occur to me to think of it as different races, we're just people. You must live in the US. And it would be a long standing association with slavery that lasted hundreds of years and left terrible disgusting lingering effects.
