i downloaded some fonts and i have windows vista ... how do i get them to actually be fonts?
help pleaseeee

Ha ha...cracked it. I've been having the same problem. Basically, find the saved font folder (it should be a zipped/compressed file) if you right click and scroll down you should find an 'extract' option, select it. This will convert the font to a reguar file that can be recognised by the 'install font' wotnot.Then just follow the instructions above, the fonts folder is in the control panel. Hope this helps, I've been finding it a bit of a nightmare using Vista.

I'm not sure how Vista works, but I'm guessing it'd work the same as XP. Open a folder (My Computer, My Documents, anything) and then at the top in the address bar, type in C:\Windows\Fonts, then go to File>Install New Font and find the directory where you saved the fonts to, select them, and click OK to install. Then you have the fonts to use.

If Vista is different from XP on that, then I'm not sure. Hope it helps.

Vista is the same as XP for installing fonts.

Just copy the actual font file and paste it into the Windows Font folder. It will then appear in any program that uses fonts.
