I like this one because it gives you an idea what the Bible is all about. There are numerous verses like this. Plainly shows the personalities of the characters who wrote it. They were supposedly "inspired".
"And he brought forth the people that were therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of iron, and under the axes of iron, and made them pass through the brick kiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem." (II Samuel 12:31)

John 16:33 - "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." I love this verse because to me it means that every obstacle I face in this life has already been conquered by Him!
