Whenever I start my PC a load of my programs open and appear in the bottom right-hand tray. Can someone tell me how to change which programs initiate at startup?

Go to "Start"
Go to "Run"
Type in "msconfig"
Click "OK"
Go to "Startup" tab
Select programs you want or don't want to load when you boot your machine
You might have to restart your machine after doing this

Quickest way -- Start>Run and type in msconfig, then select the Startup tab, and deselect the programs you don't want to run on startup.

Generally if you go into the preferences for each program, you can adjust when it starts. It usually has check boxes for things such as "start when windows opens", or "sign on when windows starts up" etc, and all you have to do is uncheck them. It usually asks you when you want to start the program at installation, but you can do it manually as explained above.

U can stop a prog to initialise at start up by stopping the service from msconfig(from run type msconfig)
better if u remove it from safe mode.
