It is extremely important. The voters are watching closely to see who really has a plan and is willing to take action on this issue.

For THE PEOPLE, it is high on the list. Unfortunately all the Democrats running and all but Ron Paul of the Republicans are moving towards a North American Union where the idea of borders will be meaningless. They will not take any firm stand in line with what THE PEOPLE want as that goes contrary to what the politicians and big business wants.
Rather than building a fence and enforcing the border, the politicans are moving on building a super freeway all the way through Mexico, the USA and Canada. Mexican trucks will be free to drive all the way to St. Louis/Kansas City before they have to stop and be inspected. We may as well invite illegals into the nation.

Immigration not much, illegal immigration, the whole enchilada. I think a way to deal with illegal immigration is to stop all processing of those are coming here legally, and then subtract, say one million, that's whats estimated that come illegally, and that way we can at least control the numbers of those coming both illegally and legally

Numeral Uno!
Priority Number 1!
I no longer am concerned about my future, but of our children.
I just E mailed someone who asked why are we worried more about the Mexican boarder over the Canadian. In answering him on my personal view, I realized something. While thinking what to say I thought about some of my neighbors. Recently, her two daughters, their husbands and all the children moved in. The house is only 1200 sq ft and space has to be cramped.
As I thought, I realized how many others in this INDIANA town is starting to do this. Why? To survive.
I have read the American workers are lazy. I heard the Mexican work force is taking the jobs Americans refuse to do. I say this is BS because I know all to many that needs jobs but can't find them due to immigrants working local jobs in abundance. People are moving away from this town and I would guess 20% of the homes are up for sell. Why? moving to find jobs. There are few American farmers and Carpenters here anymore. Look around your community, is it like mine? All Mexican? Think we have a problem? Think about what your children is going to have to face!

For me it will be a very high priority because it will effect me directly or someone I know. And it will be exciting for my parents as well since this will be the first time they vote since becoming citizens. And I know that for us the person who wants to put some though into coming to a middle ground in regards to immigration will get our votes. Though as I have stated before its one thing to say you will do something in order to get votes and its another to actually do it. I mean isn't that how we got bush as president TWICE.

Are you talking about legal immigration or illegal immigration? Legal immigration I support, illegal alien immigration does not matter because both republican and democrat politicians will not actually do anything about, they talk about it but nothing will happen. And if you are an illegal ailien in this country for years and you have not even tried to become a US citizen then you deserve to get deported along with your kids.

Next election illegal immigration and border security is very important for me and my family. The security of my country always have to come first..If we Americans don't take over our country then we will not have a country to worry about. If we could send our brave troops to Irak to secure their country, then, why is it that to the pro illegals it is racist to the the same to the USA.??

I'd have to say it ranks right up there with the Iraq war and its resolution, as well as healthcare.
I won't vote for any candidate that voted "yes" on the travesty Congress tried to pass last summer.
The problem I'm seeing again in the way the candidates are shaping up is that we once again are going to be left to vote for the lesser of "Who Cares?".
It's time for a viable 3rd party candidate to keep the other 2 parties honest.
That's my $.02 worth on it.
Your mileage may vary.
