I am a freshmen in HS this year and have never had a boyfriend...ONLY crushes. I have never been kissed and never been on a date..... I am kinda a shy person but I thought that I would have a bf by now. All of the guys I like are preppy and popular and I am neither of that. Did anyone else not date much in high school but later on found some one?? I want to grow up and get married but based on middle school and part of high school...I will probably be an old maid. And I highly doubt I will get a bf in the rest of my hs years cuz i live in a small town and all the people in my grade, i am not interested in cuz i have grown up with them since elementary school. Everyone I know has had a boyfriend....and i haven't. I am scared some people will start to think I am a lesbo even though I am NOT! I know that there are some guys that like me but I don't have the same feelings for them that they do for me......is that okay???? Someone....can you please give me advice? Thanks

There is nothing wrong with not having a boy friend and in some ways, it is an advantage. Look at the number of pregnant high school girls who do have boy friends, for example. If there are some guys that like you, you can still go out on casual dates without really being anything more than friends. If you intend on going to college, you should meet a whole new group of people or if not, being from a small town doesn't mean that you have to stay there once you graduate. Don't be in too big a hurry to have a boyfriend because everyone else does because you can look at some of the questions on here and see all the problems that having a boyfriend or girl friend can cause, and you can see from all the questions about divorce what happens to those who get into a relationship too fast. Take your time and when the right time comes, you will find that special person and you don't want to be the wrong person's girlfriend when you do.

It's not such a big deal. Don't start doing that stuff because everyone else seems to be doing it. I had my first kiss as a freshman and all of my friends at the time were already having sex.
Good friends won't make a big deal of it and mine never made me feel like a freak. If your friends are, they're not worth your time. All of my friends regretted going so far so young later and I'm the only one who's never been treated like dirt by a guy to this day (and I'm 31 now).
Know what you're worth and don't ever let anyone else tell you otherwise.
Don't force it bc you'll either wind up looking like a ho, or messing around with some guy who senses desperation and will take advantage of you. (Besides, you may be a freshman, but it's only October! You're not even through the 1st semester yet!)

Well it is reall okay that you doen't have one but because you are in hs and prob not having fun like going to partys and just letting yourself fall onto someone and no it doesn't really matter if you don't know the person that well because you will eventually find out about him if you go over to the guy you basically just have tomake yourself known. show people who you are not show them the door or the wall... be the person that is just jumping up and down waiting for you to show it to them and him...
just go to a party and have some fun... let yourself go...get into trouble..most peopl now a days like trouble makers if not people who let themself be known...
Put it to your final years and have some fun..

im also a freshman in highschool. i just got my first kiss this year. ur perfect guy will come when the time is right. u might have to go with older men, like im dating a junior right now and he's alot more mature than the freshman. but that's my personal opinion. he will come to u. dont go to him or it will turn him off. trust me. bad experience. good luck!

im in high school and still no gf and i don't care. yes i would like a gf but im waiting for the right girl to come along. and for marraige, i don't think im ever going to get married so be happy enjoy your life with or without a lover

grl!!! don´t worry about it.... in time u would find the right person.... I started hs and though the same thing.... but I found a great guy... in the leat expected place...... sometimes when u don´t look for the guy.... they come 2 u.....right now just worry about urself @ the HS age u hv to learn not to listen to plp... bc they give u the wrong advices....just make guy friends... this way u would now wat goes on in their world....act urself the right guy would luv u for who u r.... not who ur trying to act....
