just so you know, flea shampoos don't generally work, they just wash all the fleas off of the animal the potency is not high enough to kill the eggs. You have to wait 48 hours before applying the advantage. The flea prevention mixes with the oils on the skin and disperse throughought her body...you just gave her a bath, so you just washed away all of the oils....you have to wait 2 days. The same thing if you want to put it on before a bath...2 days.

You have to wait a bit - at least 24 hours. You've just washed the natural oils off the skin, and Advantage needs this to work.

Don't bother with flea baths in future because they don't work and they delay the time you can use a spot-on. Just get the Advantage on your cat's skin, not her fur, and it's all the flea treatment you need - well, apart from maybe a housespray!!

Yup. Advantage does not get absorbed into the bloodstream, so it is safe to use with other products. Advantage does not rely on oils in the skin to spread--that's Frontline. And Frontline can now be applied right after a bath when the pet is dry according to the new label instructions. The old instructions said to wait 2 days.

Putting two different chemicals on a cat is never a good idea. They could interact badly together and cause additional problems. If it was me I would probably give her another quick bath right away with Johnson's Baby Shampoo rinse her really well but still wait a few days before applying the Advantage.

Well cats don't generally like water, as in baths. I have found that some people can wash their cat (give it a bath) without too much trouble however.
I would rather first try flea powder and a flea collar.
I feel this would depend on the cat though. Good luck and be careful that you don't get heavily scratched if you decide to immerse your cat in a bath.
