my mom says i'm too young but all i am gonna do is dance with my friends what do you think??

My dad always said that dancing is just giving boys and girls a reason to push up against eachother... yeah... too young...

It all depends on what you'll do at the dance. If you're just gonna hang out and goof around with your friends, I think it's fine.
However, since your mom's worried, you might consider asking her to go to the dance as well, as a chaperon or some kind, or someone who mans the drinks table?
Again, it all depends on the dance. In the end though, you should probably listen to your mom. After all, you still have so many years ahead of dances. Enjoy your childhood while you can.

Nah I don't think you are too young to go to a school dance. My brother did when he was like 10. If you are just going to dance with your friends there is nothing for her to worry about.

aw that is to cute! brings back memories of my 5Th grade dance. I trust you are just going to be dancing wiTh friends at 11, the guys are going to be to afraid to ask you to dance. At my 5th grade dance, there were plenty of chaperone's. I remember how scared we were and the teachers were pulling the guys off the walls because they were to afraid to ask the girls to dance. I am in college now but I still remember how nervous everyone was at that dance. It's funny now that I think about it.People just hang out with their friends at these dances.

It is a school dance, which means that it is intended for children your age, and there will be teachers and/or parents there to keep an eye on all of you. Since it is a school function, and will be closely monitored, I do not see any harm in you going.

i dont think this is too young at all! i no people that are siz that go to dance schools i dunno wot there like tho ive never been
cant u have trials at dance schools? if so then try it out and see wot u think if not then keep tryin to get round ur mom if she wont budge then keep askin every few months till she ses ur old enough!

middle college dances are no longer something like up on the highschool. a lot of instructors are there. rapid song and dancing (no couple dancing) Snacks And confident, you are the right age! it is the nicely suited area. Adolescent=teen

Too young. We make the mistake of forcing quasi-romantic engagements on young people too soon and then wonder why teenagers have babies.
