I use it for my eye allergies about 3 to 4 times a day sometimes. Its the only thing that stop the itching. Im worried of losing sight in the future.

Overuse can cause severe photophobia (sensitivity to light). I had a friend who used Naphcon-A for too long (against doctor's orders) and had to stay indoors in the dark for four days before it got better! Overuse can also cause increased eye redness. Perhaps there is something less caustic that will help you, like Simalasan?

Stop using it, don't worry your eyes is not damage yet. If you have eye allergy like me just put ice over it and it be alright. If you really need the drops, use it occasionally like 1 or 2 drops a week.

Yes, using it too much can cause increasing redness and "dependence" on the drop to prevent redness. It is the redness reliever in these medications that you shouldn't use long-term.

Try Zaditor or Alaway - these are antihistamine (antiallergy) drops that are available over-the-counter and are safe for long term use - 1 drop twice daily. They contain no redness reliever, and were recently available by prescription only.

Overuse can result in red eyes, additional itchiness and sometimes can cause glaucoma and blood pressure problems.

If your allergies are so bad then you should see your doctor for oral anti histamines and for prescription allergy eye drops which are safe to use.
