I could see a person writing that on a guy that she likes, not necessarily her boyfriend. It could even be a guy friend with whom she's not romantically involved.

It doesn't mean he is her b/f if she has never meet him before. As well, in some city cultures (like L.A.), a woman might do that for a guy who is just a friend that she finds attractive.

i could mean that they're real close together. but it can also mean that he's her boyfrannn. it just depends. to figure out more, you should see how they act with each other in person!
