One safe way to tell is to hug her - safe because you can do this to a friend as well. If she really leans into you, settles into the hug or lingers, go to step 2. While hugging her, pull your head back a little bit, look into her eyes for a while and either touch her hair or cup her cheek in your hand. If she isn't ready, she will stiffen up or pull away. If she is she will stay. You may even want to tell her at that point, "I'd like to kiss you - is that okay?".

they get all mushy with you over the phone, and all touchy. That is usually the sign, also the look too. That warm fuzzy look like they want it. Usually you will know the right time. Take her to a chick flick, that will work.

You never know when the time is right! It's supposed to be a spontaneous move.... when you both look each other in the eyes thats when you make your move....
