As you have noticed the federal government is doing nothing. The state governments seem to have no power to do anything. That only leaves one solution, the American people themselves. We have slowly been pushed to the edge, now is our moment of truth. We either fight or fall off. Time to do it ourselves or go down trying. That time is NOW!!!

RIght now the Mexican border is causing the most issues with illegal immigration. With huge borders and limited resources that is where the first of the work needs to be done.
Local governments are beginning to step up because the federal government won't do anything. They are limited in their powers but I think if enough continue to do it and the federal gov't see that the citizens support it, they will have to do more on this issue.
Our goverment's lack of action has obligated us. Not everyone is feeling the pinch yet from this situation or will not admit that many of the issues facing us has been caused by illegal immigration. Once more people do, I think the tide will turn even more quickly.
Healthcare has been a problem for many years but recently more and more Americans either don't have the ability to get it , can't afford it or are underinsured and now it is a prevalent issue in the next presidential election.
We need to keep talking about it so our leaders know we haven't given up on getting this problem solved.

They say everything has it's limits, and I would guess that is when the problem surpasses the toleration point of the people of the US, and only if the US government reacts to the situation on time....
...that was a several years ago. The US government has failed to react in due time. Now, the problem has surpassed the toleration point and the people of the US is now living in "Little Mexico".
I think the question now isn't when is it gonna stop, but where can you go to live and get good paying jobs to survive? All American contractors can no longer be competitive with the contractors that has Mexican laborers. You can't get government assistance like a illegals. Many states is giving illegals driver licenses and you are to turn our head?
President Bush wants to give amnesty to illegals to top it all of! Like wtf?
I could go on and on, but you get the point...use your right to bare arms, get a plastic squirt gun and go to the border and help the civilians. Our government don't seem to be the answer, but "We the People" can be if needed.

The immigration issue is not as simple as we make it. I would suggest that all of us make an effort and do some research before making statememts we think might make us sound intelligent but in reality is void of any sense. Think about this for a moment. If things were as easy as they seem, it would be unnecessary to spend years studying them in universities.
Obviously, nobody in the right mind would deny a country the right to control its borders; nonetheless, I wonder why is the Mexican border an issue but not the Canadian? Can anybody in love with honesty give me an answer? Please!

as long as big business calls the shots and our president and congress ignores the will of the American people... we will see a steady decline in our way of life until we as Americans will be illegals in our own land.

When the Republicans are back in charge of Congress. These pro-amnesty weasels don't listen. We almost had amnesty shoved down our throats last June and again with the crappy Dream Act.

We need to get the people our of office who support illegal immigration and not vote for a president who supports it either. Everyone needs to continue contacting their gov. officials with there concerns.
