some good answers , it will be very hard for me to choose the best answer , but trust me the insulting religions answers, taring all people with the same brush answers are not in the runnning for the best answer

You spelt the holy book of Islam wrong. It's Qu'ran. Just so you know. Oh and btw I am reading the Qu'ran.
One of your answerers had said something about Jihad. Just so you know (again) There are two types of Jihad, one is greater Jihad, of which the muslim/ muslimah is resisting against everyday sins e.g. drugs, alcohol etc and also the war Jihad which is only permitted if it is to defend the religion.

to answer yor first question 1.It is a common complaint among many non-Muslims that Islam would not be having millions of adherents all over the world, if it had not been spread by the use of force. that far from being spread by the sword, it was the inherent force of reason and logic that was responsible for the rapid spread of Islam. 2. how could the Quran possibly edited?No word has been changed since it has been made! If you are talking about translations thats another story. You cant possibly translate every word in english from arabic because every language has there own unique words that would only be understood in that language. 3.Of course there should be a heaven and hell.So your telling me if a man raped,murdered,stole etc. he should be able to enter paradise and get rewarded? wrong. Think about it. If there was no punishment for anything wouldnt you just do whatever you want? If there were no prisons etc. im pretty sure crimes would be even higher than they are now. And whats wrong with the fact that if your good in this life you get a reward. I personally see nothing wrong with it. 4. Why would I not wish to be associated with islam? Just because the media may portray us as bad people doesnt mean its true. 5. Please go read the Quran. I gurantee you will find all your answers in there. Im being for real because I never truly knew what it was about until I read it. It may even bring tear to your eyes.

Our perception of a belief not of our own is shaped by our surroundings.
Like impoverished Muslims balking at Salman Rushdie when they have never read the Satanic Verses in the first place.
And those red necks who have been associating Islam with terrorism and Bin Laden's beard, these sorts of people never read the sources of Islam (Quran and its context which is the Prophetic Tradition) and we can say, they are free to criticize the Muslims because that's what their culture is like (freedom of expression) although they really look as stupid as the impoverished Muslims who burn effigies of Pope but have no idea of the Pope's text. Actually more STUPID because they have internet, cables and all sorts of privileges the third world population don't have, but ignorant enough to let their own throats stuck with crude substances from the FOX Channel.
Even Daniel Pipes and other Islamophobists with exposure to Islamic texts misinterpreted Islam, how do we expect people who have never read the Quran to not air their opinion on Islam and Muslims.

IGNORANCE!!! it's not hard to understand why they hate us muslims so much! look at how Muslims are acting today! For sure if they were to read the books of the Companions of the Prophet (PBUH), and his Biography, they wouldn't see the lack of good behavior towards the Christians and Jews.
First lets try to make all of us Muslims act better, to give a clearer picture of what Islma really is, then they will have no excuse to assume anything.
Because the only thing that made our releigion fast-growing in the time of the Prphet, was his and his Companion's manners.
So yeah, first lets fix our mistakes.
And to the Non-Muslim ppl, try not to believe EVERYTHING you hear on TV. it's all crap to make us look bad.

Because i have read the qur'an and also know the history of where and how it was started!
Islam has 'not' existed forever, it was formed because the Jews and Christians, were laughing at the arabs, for not believing in only 'one' god!
At that time, Allah was one of many 'gods' and was a moon 'god'!
This is why the cresent moon is at the top of every mosque!!
Then Mohammad was supposedly visited by the angel Gabriel, a 'Jewish' angel and 'told' to write the qur'an!?
In this book of fiction, Allah was made into a sole deity, to 'keep up with the Jones's next door'!!!
Islam is just as fictitious and mythical as the other religions and 'anyone' who believes in 'any' of them, are 'very' deluded human beings indeed!!

b/c they are christians... they are not open to other religions and think they are right even though they dont know the history of their own religion and how their book has been fabricated. Also, even if they did read the quaran they would not probably just skim it and not pay much attention to the beauty of the book, they would probably just assume it is about violence and call islam a violent religion even though the bible talks about a much more violent god in the old testament.

The Koran (however you spell it) tells you that you are to kill infidels!
Let's say you come home from work one day and decide that your neighbor is an infidel. You go to kill him but learn that he is as well-armed as you are, and BOTH of you kill each other. Then it is Allah's decision as to which of you gets your 72 virgins. The mosques to which you belonged are HAPPY that you two have killed each other because you are to GIVE your worldly goods to the mosque upon your demise.
The mullahs want your moolah, you crazy muslims who have bought this pap for over 1000 years!
THIS is what is at the center of the push to make the WHOLE world muslim! If everyone were muslim, the mosques would sit back as the money came rolling into the door as we killed each other!
In Christianity, we are told to LOVE our enemies, and leave the death of our enemies to God himself!
On principle, this is also why the mullahs want their fellow muslims to attack Israelis! The mullahs know that the Jews NEVER bring knives to gun fights, and that this violent encounter will mean the demise of the muslim, more than likely. So, the mullahs WANT you muslims to attack the Israelis because the mullahs know that there is a greater chance that you will die, and your worldly possessions will belong to the mosque after your demise. You never see a mullah on the front lines! *laughter*
It's a win/win/win (no lose) situation for the mullahs in the mosques: kill an Israeli or another infidel in general - win, kill a fellow muslim - win, and get yourself killed - win! This is an incredible realization that dawned on me some days ago.

Same reason why those who have never read the bible have an opinion of Christianity and Christians. Do we really need to be experts in every religion just to have an opinion on one?!

For the same reason people have really strong opinions on Christianity, while not having really read much of it. It's easier to have an opinion if you don't burden yourself with facts.
