Is it offensive to you? Does it give you pause to think? Can you see the humour in it? Can you laugh with them or does it just anger you? Is it irrelevant and not worth responding to?

Is it a uniting force or a divisive force in trying to bring together people of different beliefs?

I like the humour aspect of it but I don't like the 'baiting' aspect of it. I'm not a Christian but I find it offensive to my spiritual beliefs. (i.e. - compassion for all and harmony with the world and its inhabitants)

Its easy to criticize someone with sarcasm but that does little to bring people closer together - and thats really whats needed.

Like I said, I enjoy the humour aspect of it but it is losing its humour value because it is being used now as a weapon, and I don't like humour being used as a weapon (its OK to use humour for social commentary but one has to be careful not to go too far - its a fine line but an important consideration)

The FSM was a demonstration of how rediculous it is to use religion as science. It is not offensive to me, I think its a good example of such.
I find it rather annoying when people try to change science to fit a litteral translation of the Bible.
I am a Christian and I stick to my belief that the Bible is 100% true. However, not all the truth is litteral truth, and the Bible should never be taken as a science book.

For some reason Athiest have taken it up like a sword, however all it really does is prove that science should not be forced into the confines of religious belief, which I already fully support. The FSM is in no way a knock against Christianity.

not offensive, its overboard crazy imaginative creation from someone who is anti-christian trying to insult religion...it implies that.

Regardless what you believe, the apparent intention of that sort of phrase directed at a specified group, its just not polite.
