Anybody remember who made chocolate peanut butter? I know reeses has peanut butter but it wasn't them. I know there were 3 different flavors out at the same time and they came in small jars. I'm thinking Peter pan or Jif. Do you know if they still make it and where I can get some? That stuff was great for making cookies and candy.

Thanks I looked it up and it's in the speciality section of the store just down the road. I'm going to try and find it tomorrow. The internet price is pricey but if it's good it will be worth it. I'll let you know

I read your question yesterday and remembered having this stuff as a child. But, since I didn't remember who made it I did not write an answer.

HOWEVER; I was at the Big Y supermarket in Massachusetts today and happened to look down and saw "Dark Chocolate Dreams". It was in fact chocolate peanut butter. So, I wrote down the info. It is made by the All Natural Peanut Butter Company in New York. Their web site was on the jar and you can order it on-line or locate a store near you that sells it. My girlfriend said no way so we didn't get any today. Tell me if it's good!

I Googled the Jif PB site, and they do not, nor have they ever made a mass marketed chocolate peanut butter.....you may live in a "test market area" where they may have made a limited supply of it, but then the big whigs in corporate decided NOT to mass market it due to it's poor reception by the general public.......Major manufacturers do that a lot, and distribute the particular product in "test markets" to see how the product sells.....Obviously, it did not go over well enough to warrant it being mass produced and marketed.....Enjoy!!!

Jif did make chocolate peanut butter - it was called chocolate silk. I loved to put it on saltine crackers. It appears that they did discontinue making it. I found an on-line petition to Jif to bring it back:

Chocolate Silk by Jif......great from a spoon or on top of a vanilla wafer. I was sooooo sad when it disappeared from the shelves.

Why not try some "Nutella". It's a chocolate with a hint of hazel nut and it's great for making cookies and candy. Good luck.
