i want something under 300 , good zoom and works good in low light situations

I can't really recomend a camera, but I can tell you to be smart when taking pictures. Here are some tips with any camera you ultimatly choose.
Remember that your flash is essentially useless more than 10-15 feet away, so wait for some good lighting and little movement. You may even want to turn your flash off so that you get better exposure on the subject verses lighting the backs of the heads of the people in front of you.
Hold Steady! Try to avoid holding the camera too far away from your body or you will get camera shake.
Most cameras allow you to pre-focus by halfway pushing the shutter - use this function - you will end up with much better photos.

There are several good digital cameras out there. I can't advise one over the other, but a little advice, when shooting a concert set the camera to the program mode "spotlight".
You will be so many feet or yards away from the stage, the flash will be useless, but in the spotlight mode you should get some very good pictures

Listen to fhotoace. There really is a good chance you could lose your camera.
As far as using a digicam at a concert, unless you're very close to the stage you're probably wasting your time. It requires a fast lens - f2.8 - and a high ISO - 1600 at least - to get a usable image in low light.
