It depends why you have it. If it's just fat, then sure, you can get rid of a lot of it. But if your spine is curved, you may have a curvature problem.

that depends on whether your hump back is structural or funcitonal. Structure meaning your bones are genetically going that way. Functional meaning that it is your postural and muscle imbalance. If structural you can still do stretches and strengthening to prevent further increasing the hump. If functional stretching and strengthening will definitely decrease the hump. You doctor or a physical therapist can assist you in the correct exercises. You do not necessarily need to build a lot of muscle to hide it. That may just mask another problem.

I suspect that you may have scoliosis. If so there are specific exercises you can do but you need a professional to tell you what to do and how often otherwise you may do more harm than good. But yes gaining extra muscle and exercising does help this condition. I know because a friend of mine has it and exercises have helped him alot.
