i agree. faith is over-sentimentalised and distorts facts in order to make a feeling seem like a truth.

what makes you think you or anyone else will be any different. you have absolutely no proof to show otherwise.

you're confusing life and existence with miracles of god. you can assume and attribute what you like to anyone you like, unless you have proof it is worthless.

A plethora of bad information? Selective learning/listening?

Belief is only legitimate through an emotional reaction to a personal experience. Do you *believe* the sun will rise tomorrow? No - of course not. You *know* that the sun will rise.

Knowledge is derived from science and investigation of empirical facts, whereas belief doesn't give a whit about any of that. The only person capable of measuring a belief is the person that has it, and that is through their emotional reaction. The method for sharing that is rhetoric - there IS nothing else, nor should there be.

You cannot measure the volume of a pool with a thermometer, nor can you measure belief with a yardstick.

Its the opposite of science. Christians (and all dogmatic beliefs, religous or otherwise) start with the conclusion and find evidence that fits the conclusion. They can thus make a presentation of 'evidence' and create an illusion that their claims are based in reality.

One great example of this is Answers in Genesis.

I have a question for you, is there anything besides lack of emotion to support your lack of belief?

Really, if you have no faith in the existance of the here after, what keeps you from being a Serial Killer? That is your conscience. That is a gift from a loving God, who doe not what you to harm yourself.

I challege you to read (at least the first half of) Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis

God gives peace, healing. God forgives. You can feel all these things instantly. when we pray, God answers in a miraculous way. Have you not seen any miracles happening around you. every day is a miracle, every new born baby is a miracle. every new plant is a miracle. Are these things not enough for you to prove that God is working at all times and He is a living God .

turn the question around, do away with atheist emotional rhetoric and what do the have? answer: comparable ingredient they began with, no longer something. in case you do away with faith from all people, you do away with the desire to stay. in case you probably did no longer have faith that the solar might upward thrust day after today, might you no longer lose desire? in case you probably did no longer have faith your next breath became coming might you no longer lose desire? you won't be able to separate faith from humanity, even atheists have faith, purely no longer in deity. fairly than asking percusatory solutions, why no longer try something with substance?

You apparently don't know any Christians, personally, dear one. Most are hard working, loving, and even fun people.

God bless!

do you any hope to look for after death?
all the "work" you do on earth will gain you nothing at the grave.
Is that worth the effort you put into this life?

It is because you are blind. You cannot see the things of the Spirit if the Spirit doesn't live in you.
