My cats like it. I have three cats that are "shape eaters". They will only eat the little round pellet shape food. I tried the Wellness brand, but the GARLIC smell the kittens gave off after eating it was GROSS!!!!!! I could not stand to be near them.
Old cat lady..I beg to differ..I have the Wellness Kitten Super5mix. It DOES have garlic in it.12th ingredient..right after Taurine. The kittens smell horrid from it. A few do not, but most of them do. The breath AND the litter. I will never buy that again. They love the shape, but I just cannot tolerate the smell.

You really don't need to use a "kitten" food at all. The Eukanuba also uses by-product meat. I am so glad to hear you READ LABELS as so few people do.
Eagle Pack, Solid Gold, Natural Balance, CA Natural and Felidae are MUCH better quality. They have protein levels comparable to the SD.
Nature's Logic is more expensive and it has 38% protein in its duck, chicken, salmon product. The protein in those foods is wholesome MEAT protein. When manufacturers put in corn and other stuff that can count as protein too and it is not the protein cats need.
A lot of cat people have been putting pressure on Wellness to take the garlic out of their cat food. I actually feed that to my 13 yr old female cat who weighs only around seven pounds (she is a large female cat, long and very lean). They do put extra fat in kitten food so most adult cats would get overweight on it.
I just read the ingredients on the Wellness kitten bag and there is no garlic in the food. That would also be a good choice.

I'm not sure...
If I were you I would get your kitten Eukanuba if you are going to buy a higher grade food.
Your kitten will not use the bathroom as much, because it is actually getting all the nutrients it needs. It will make its coat nice and shiny.
Definately worth the money.
My cat is 6 years old and I have fed her eukanuba lamb and rice and she won't eat anything else!!

Innova is also an excellent product. Chicken, turkey, and chicken meal are the protein sources along with other good food. No by-products, no corn, wheat, or soy, no artificial colors/flavors/preservatives.
My cats and dogs love Innova brand and look great. I am converted!

Hi,Hill science Plan is one of the best that's why they sell it at the vets and that's why they recommend it.I recently got my kitten neutered and the vet recommended it, he recommended the one for neutered kittens 6 months to 6 years. I give my kitten this now.

What rather kitty and ken stated. Vets fairly get a stitch of educating in food. they are ushually taught via persons from puppy foodstuff agencies who only say "healthful dogs could get grownup foodstuff, mutually with so and so type, dogs with this illness could get this type, and so on. The meals that vets reccomed fairly have adequate meat to maintain your cat healthful. continually % holistic good high quality producers like merrick, innova and well-being which certainly have good aspects

please note that gluten in and of itself is fine and humans and animals have eaten it for centuries. All gluten is is a protein in wheat, rye and barley. The only reason it became an issue in pet food is bc there was POISONED wheat gluten. Gluten in its normal state is fine. It wasnt the gluten that was an issue, but the POISON in it.
Gluten is only harmful to humans with allergies, autism or Celiac Disease.
