Had three lines coming into house, 2 business and one private. Decided that i didnt need all three and had private cut off about a year ago. Now i`ve come to the conclusion that the xtra line is required and want it re-connecting. but before i call bt i would like a little knowledge just in case i should get stuffed with a needless bill.

I know "O ye of little faith". :o)

From what you imply the service was terminated at your request. The wiring is presumably still intact at your house as well as the feed to it.

The carrier has to reactivate the feed at the Central Office (CO) and the line goes active. Your phone number may well be different and you may not be able to get the old number back.

The charge for this is as their rate book indicates.
