get a boxer. They are beautiful, really smart and not too hard to train, loving, loyal, and barely ever make a sound.

not many breeds of dogs do howl a lot. Mine sometimes howls in his sleep but very rarely. Find a breed you like then research its behaviour rather than doing it the other way around.

I'd have to agree on the pugs.. most of the one's i've noticed bark occaisionally but normally just make weird heavy breathing sounds.. sometimes small whines.. they have a fair amount of nervous energy, but.. are pretty quiet..

basenjis are supposed to be non barking or howling dogs but they can be highly highly hyperactive.

get either a BasSset hound or a pUUg there Ugly butTT Super Quiet so i would proble get a Pug not alL pug\s are ugly I liKe theM .
