How about because they are the biggest hippocrates in the world.
They talk about doing right, but they do wrongs to anyone who isnt a so called christian. Why do they get involved in politics? Why do they take away our most precious rights? They always talk about being a shepard and lead the sheep.
Yet they have to run over to the neighbors and tell them how to raise their sheep.
What does christian mean? To be like Christ. Jesus was no more the son of God then me or you. He was a great man and in my opinion the greatest Phylosopher. Another man who had great vision. He was a king of the Jews by blood. He was born to Mary and Joseph, not God. And Jews do not believe this either. Yet our country sends billions of dollars to Israel every year.
More and more people are learning the truth about religion and what it really is. We are becoming too educated and know a bunch of bull crap when we see it.
Christians are no more innocent then any atheist.
As a matter of fact did you know most non religious people actually give more of their money to the needy then the christian cult. Yeah do a little investigation on your church and see where all your donations really go.
I used to believe in all the christian crap mostly cause I was raised that way. But over time and study I have found that the Bible was only written by men to get control over others. Then Jesus came along and blew it apart. If you are a true christian why do you still read from the old testament?
I have found that more non christians are Christ like. They do not judge you, they do not ridicule you, they do not try to force you to be like them, and they do not ask you for money.
I would only hope that christians would stop trying to make us what they want. Stop getting involved in politics and you may get a little credit for being christian. Go to your church and leave the rest of us intellegent people to our lives.

People get so caught up in the words and have a hard time stepping back and seeing a bigger picture. Like your question...most were offended by sweet & innocent. I know what your bigger question is! I found that it boils down to a few things. One being, they say God has a master plan for them and they don't have to take proactive action. Second, there tends to be a tendency to fear god and to focus on all that is bad. Dwelling and focusing on negatives only brings more sorrow followed by another tomorrow full of sorrow. Point: If you go this route, remember to focus on more the positive aspects and realize that God gave you an incredible brain. One that creates his future - solves problems and finds answers. We are creators!

It is not just Christians that get a hard time, it is the religious people that verbally throw the words of the bible, no offence to anyone, metaphorically speaking "The Bible bashes" and this tittle relates to all religions.
I am of mixed religions, I was brought up Christian, Muslim, Mormon, Buddha, Wicca........etc. I don't classify myself as a specific religion, but I live by the basic rules:
Don't harm yourself
Don't harm others
Don't harm property
Aspire to be the best person that you can be because we are all different and unique beings.

I don't have a hard time of it at all. Where did you get that idea?
The only place where I have encountered hate from anyone is here, and only a few of the bitter little people express hatred for Christians.
They're really not well educated, either, or they would realize that one can't lump all members of a group into one category.

well for starters we are not sweet innocent ppl,we all fall short of the Glory of God,Christians throughout time have been persecuted,it's not going to stop until Jesus comes back.

There are alot of bad people out there, unfortunately. They don't care for actions, only for labels. It doesn't matter if you spend your whole life caring for others, all they see is the Christian label and they will demonize them for that reason alone. Their intellectual arrogance tells them that the religious are 'weak-minded' as opposed to them, who know everything there is to know, even if there is no possible way for them to know it.
