the longest distance the drill sergeants make us run during the PT test is 8 miles. The practice PT test is only 4 miles. But if your talking about how much running is done in general it's about 4-6 miles non stop.Only if you can't pass your PT test do te drill sergeants decide if the Army life is for you,you do have a choice either you want to get discharged with a Chapter-11 failure to adapt or you rather get new started.Usually the choice is yours

most of the time they run about 2 miles, a regular pt test distance. if you fall out, you fall out. you just run with the slower people. they only make you retake BCT if you don't complete some of the activities that they do. and you won't get kicked out. they only "recycle" people if they don't complete somethings! you'll be fine if you fall back, just try not to walk because than you will get a butt load of crap!!! good luck!

I don't remember it being more than a mile, if that. The army "builds you up" with a lot of calisthenics and other gymnastics and if you're a normal 18 to 20+ years old, you'll be able to handle it, don't worry too much about it. And they will not kick you out - unless you develop some very serious and unforeseen medical condition

In the beginning you may run alot to see who is in good shape and select the slower ones to be in front of the platoon so everyone finish together its team work. They try to build you up before they grade your abilities. But during this time you usually run up to 2 miles at a time but it is at a slow pace /jog. They can have you take portions of your bct over at certain times, but just do your very best and you will be surprised at the end results. Never doubt yourself keep your head up and be proud of yourself and your country

mostly 2 mile runs at different paces they only kick you out if your restarted so many times. I think it's like 3 chances to graduate PT test is easy though in BCT you only need to pass it with 60% in each event.

I don't think the DI's had a certain distance, they just ran us till everyone was half dead and they could scream at you.
