The question of Jesus' historical existence is no longer a debate. Scholars agree that he existed. He claimed to be the son of God. There are three possibilities: he was either insane, a liar, or telling the truth. If you read the Gospels you'll see that he couldn't be insane or a liar.

It is our duty as rational beings to align ourselves with the truth.

You seem to think that billions of people who lead "mundane lives" have no value. This is a dangerous concept. Every human being is precious and irreplaceable. That includes you.

Everyone says go read the bible what the hell does that mean. We don't know if what the bible says is true or if it was made up by some power hunger man! I have my own beliefs and I am not going to share them on here because everyone criticize and they need to stop. Everyone has their own beliefs and others should just deal with it and stop trying to make people change their mind!

Now don't go spoiling things for people. Telling them the truth about their god being a fairy tale only upsets them and makes them even more hateful. We all know that the whole concept of gods and spirits were dreamt up to explain how things happened in a time when science really didn't exist.

Atheism. You know it makes sense.

No, it is not painfully clear.
Come on, let it go.
Show some open-mindedness and let others believe as they wish.
I believe it.
That does not affect you in the least.
It is painfully clear to me that you are prejudiced.

Ok, that's your opinion. On what criteria do you base it on? There is much historical and archaeological proof of the Bible's claims that both believers and non-believers agree on.

What is your proof?

Yes. But some people need the security of believing there is something larger then themselves. They can't face the fact that we are all completely alone.
