I dreamt that I saw my boyfriend with another woman (who I know in real life, but who he's never met) while walking around in public. In the dream, we had apparently broken up. He was being very rude and heartless toward me and told me how he was happier with her, and didn't I ever want to date anyone else?
His personality is not rude and heartless in real life. What does this dream mean?

It's possible that the other woman has qualities that you admire but believe you don't have. You may fear subconsciously that if your boyfriend were to have to make a choice between a woman who has her qualities and a woman who has your qualities, he would chose the other woman.
Some advice from an old man:
1. If the other woman's beauty is the basis of your fear, keep in mind that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What you consider beautiful may not be what your boyfriend considers beautiful--that's why he's with you rather than someone else. YOUR beauty is what caught his eye (NOT what you consider beautiful in another woman).
2. If the other woman's qualities (other than physical beauty) are the source of your fear, keep in mind that those qualities are in the eye of the beholder too. In other words, one guy might consider one woman irresistably attentitive, another might consider the same woman terribly suffocating. You know, one guy might say she's such a cuddly and warm person, but another might say she's always hanging on me and I feel like I can't breathe.
3. Try to find happiness and peace of mind in the knowledge that he's with you, not someone else.
4. If you can't do that because those fears just keep hanging on and won't go away, then discretely question your boyfriend about his thoughts concerning those qualities. For example, you could say from a scale of 1 to 10 how important is it for your girlfriend to have quality 1, quality 2, quality 3...etc., and where do I rate on those qualities. Don't press for a quick answer. Give him time to think about it. If he asks why you are asking, tell him you are testing him to try to determine unscientifically whether or not he's likely to dump you for another woman who might have a higher degree of those qualities than you do. That should make him laugh. But it'll also make him feel good about your interest in remaining his girlfriend. What I think you'll find out is that many of the items on your list are nothing you should worry about, and you'll be able to move on concentrating on being happy rather than worried.
