I was reading the Bible, and ran across this in Revelation;
18
I warn everyone who hears the prophetic words in this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,
19
and if anyone takes away from the words in this prophetic book, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city described in this book.
Considering the fact that most folks don't have a clue to what the book actually means, isn't this, 'damned if you do, and damned if you don't'?

We don't have to know the exact details of what it means. Revelation along with what Jesus said and all the other prophetic books of the bible, give us enough information to know there will be a day that Jesus returns. It does not change anything about how I live my life. We do have a way to gage the times and seasons because of prophecy. And prophecy is another confirmation to the fact that God does exist and his word will be done. Every year that passes and every advancement of technology reveals and enables the fulfilling of prophecy we had previously never been able to understand. No one can take away from John's prophecy now. It's spread around the world in millions of bibles.

Who ever wrote these statements must have worked for the government of that era... Murphy's Law is reborn each time this universe expands... It doesn't bang, because in space sound doesn't travel.

Murphy's law is as old as the very first time something was meant to happen one way and it didn't go as expected.
